Golf for Parkinson's at Mad River - Wednesday, September 25th]]> Sun, 04 Aug 2019 04:00:00 GMT <![CDATA[Who is 'TBD'???]]> It has come to the attention of Club management that the acronym ‘TBD’ is often used to hold a tee time for guests or fellow members.  In some instances, the tee time is not filled by another member, or guest of a member.  The unintended consequence of this action is that fellow ‘dues paying members’ often miss out on the opportunity to play and enjoy their golf course on a beautiful day! 
In light of this the Club respectfully asks that these ‘TBD’ times be identified with a player's name as soon as possible after booking, preferably at the time of booking. If the tee time is not filled it should be released 24 hours ahead allowing other members the opportunity to play. Thank you for your cooperation.]]> Sat, 03 Aug 2019 04:00:00 GMT <![CDATA[Golf Course Update ]]> July was an extremely dry month, precipitation totals were well below normal, in fact last year we had 77 mm of rain compared to this year a measly 18 mmm of rain.  Despite this the golf course has remained in good condition throughout the month.  A huge shout out goes to the golf course turf maintenance team, they have been dragging hoses all summer long and have done a fantastic job through some hot and dry weather conditions. ]]> Fri, 02 Aug 2019 04:00:00 GMT <![CDATA[Aeration Notice]]> The golf course maintenance team are looking forward to preparing the golf course for the upcoming club championship weekend.  The weather looks to be shaping up nicely after some timely rain events this past week.

We have the unfortunate task of aerating our greens and fairways beginning next Monday Aug 13 and 14th, with a rain date of the August 15th.  We strive hard to provide a smooth putting surface all year long, the last thing we want is any disruption to these surfaces.  It is necessary though, for both the short and long term health of our putting greens.

Sign up online for the Championship Flight (Blue Tees), A Flight (Green tees) or B Flight (White Tees).   Format  is Medal Play (Stroke play) with awards for low net in all divisions and one low gross winner from the Championship Flight.  This is a great opportunity to test your game and enjoy competing against your fellow members. There will  be a lunch and “Captain’s Bar” following the Sunday round.
