Ladies Captain's Report - Frances Painter
Madheim – our final ladies event was held the third week of Sept. on Tue. and Wed. The weather couldn’t have made the golfing more enjoyable. The course was in fabulous condition. A great time was had by all.
This event is really our signature event with different games played on each nine – all match play. We played 9 holes scramble, 9 holes Chapman, 9 holes 4 Ball and finished with single matches.
Europe was victorious over Canada – 23 ½ to 21 ½. We finished the tournament with some good old comfort Canadian food.

Thank you to Charlene Wildridge, Joan Ball and Jan Atkinson-Hall for organizing the great day.

With 20 club-owned memberships remaining in treasury, the timing is perfect to launch what we anticipate will be another successful membership drive:  TEE IT UP IN 2020!

The 3rd Golf for Parkinson’s at Mad River tournament took place on Wednesday, September 25. Organized by members Dr. Bill Crysdale, Doug Quanbury, Bill Patrick and co-chair Brad Charlton, this year’s event raised more than $50,000 in support of Parkinson Canada. That brings the three year total of its fundraising to more than $125,000.

Wishing all members and their families a Happy Thanksgiving weekend.
