At the AGM last weekend, the Membership approved an Honorary Associate Membership to Head Professional Brian French. This is truly an extraordinary and rare accomplishment, one to be celebrated and enjoyed this summer!

Brian will forever be associated with Mad River; this award is in recognition of the culmination of his 27 years of service as Mad Rivers Head Golf Professional.

Over the course of the summer it is our intention to provide interesting stores and anecdotes about Brian. Please join us by sending in your favorite story about “Frenchy” to Sandy at shiggins@madriver.ca and we will share them with the membership.

Under the new World System, each member will have seen a reduction in their course handicap.  This is primarilydue to the change in handicap calculations.  It is now the best 8 rounds out of 20 instead of 10.
