That is great news to hear some of the other provinces are opening up their golf courses, with restrictions of course. I am hoping we’re not far behind.

Hi all,
I am sure you must be anxious to put your clubs in the trunk of your car. The committee for reopening has been working hard on preparing for our return. Let’s all be very aware that there will be restrictions, rules and regulations. I cannot insist enough of the importance for everybody to abide by those, so we can remain open.

‘One of the Finest Educational Experiences Ever’

During the off-season, I had been in conversation with one of golf’s finest teachers and author of two bestselling books, Fred Shoemaker. Fred founded Extraordinary Golf and has helped tens of thousands of golfers become better on and off the golf course. Please read the attached bio, as Fred truly is an extraordinary teacher and coach.

Fred was to come to Mad River this June, continuing our initiative of bringing you, the members, the finest guest speakers the world of golf has to offer, however, the world has changed and so too have our plans, but don’t fret!

This past weekend, I received a call from Fred and in true Fred fashion, he graciously offered his time to you, the members, to get on a 1 hour Zoom call at no expense. This will also be an interactive conversation. I truly believe that after this call, you will be in a better place.

If you are unfamiliar with Zoom, it is very easy to use and DOWNLOAD. Simply follow the guidelines within the link and install on your selected device. There is no limit as to how many people may join in on the call, so I encourage every member to join.

Ross and Wendy recently located to The Blue Mountains area from Burlington. Ross manages Reimer Associates, an executive search firm specializing in supply chain and transportation. Wendy owns Reimer Design, an interior design firm specializing in residential projects. They have a son, Alexander, and a daughter Riley who is married to Eric.
