We’ve continued to see a reduction in demand for tee times since my last Mad Post article two weeks ago, this is consistent with what’s occurring across the Country. This return to more typical play patterns will allow us to re-introduce some of our tee access policies that were temporarily amended due to the pandemic and the subsequent demand for tee times.

We are only one month into the season, and we already have two cars that have been struck by errant shots on holes #12 and #18. The first incident occurred last Thursday, May 26th when a car on the left side of the parking lot was hit in the windshield from a shot coming from the 12th hole. Last night, Wednesday June 1st, another car was struck, also in the windshield, while parked facing the 18th hole. This is a very unfortunate incident for the members who now have the inconvenience of getting their cars repaired, potentially at their own expense if no member comes forward to take responsibility for hitting the shot.

Hello Everyone,

Did you know that Tuesday June 7 happens to be International Women’s Golf Day?
Come dressed in red & white to show your support.

WGD, held the first Tuesday in June, was founded in 2016 by Elisa Gaudet, President of Executive Golf International, to raise awareness and get women involved in golf. WGD has connected new and existing female players from 80 countries from many races, religions and languages-all in support of golf.

A quote from Golf Town, in support of WGD, captures the spirit of the day perfectly. “Play keeps us young, it tests us, it connects us, it takes us on adventures and keeps us dreaming of one perfect shot."

Look forward to celebrating the day with you this Tuesday with our individual Stableford game.

Afternoon Gents,

MATCH PLAY

The draws for the match play have now been released. Please make a concerted effort to schedule your matches in sync with the target date at the top of each bracket. I know it can be difficult scheduling so the sooner you reach out to your opponent(s), the better.

Please refer to Carl’s emails for the link to the brackets.

While it seemed like a slow and steady start to our first month, we did post record sales of just over $40,000 for the month of May. Thank you for your support. The tee-sheet is not as full as it was last season and based on conversations I have had, many of you have shared that you are traveling or are involved in other activities that you were not able to participate in the last two years. It’s wonderful hearing about everyone’s life getting back on track.

A Note from Your Chef:

I love working with local farmers and bringing their produce to you. This past week we used True Food Farm’s greens with the Ladies special and will continue to do so for upcoming specials and events. You can find them at the Creemore Market every Saturday. We use our local brewery, Creemore Springs’, Lot 9 beer for our batter on the Creemore shrimp and our Fish & Chips Fridays. Stay tuned for other local products that I will be using in our dishes.
