GM – Mad Post October 1st, 2020

Survey Update
Initial response has been terrific, with almost 300 responses received to date. GGA indicate this is tracking well ahead of industry norms at this stage.

In the coming days, GGA will be sending out periodic reminders directly to you. The deadline for completion is Friday October 9th. The survey requires less than 20 minutes to complete, so if you have not already done so, please take the time to complete it.

Thank you for your engagement and participation, your responses will be critical in assisting Club leadership to evaluate our current performance and make decisions going forward.

We expect to see draft reports from GGA by the end of October and will share the results once the final reports have been completed in November.

Changes to Clubhouse Hours and Food & Beverage Options

As we wind down for this season, we will be adjusting our food and beverage hours of operation as well as our menu. As a seasonal golf club, we endeavour to reduce our year end inventory in order to reduce waste, which means, once we run out of speciality items (i.e. Draft beer, certain cheese, confectionary, etc.), we will not be replenishing them. Accordingly, we will reduce the size of our menu and beverage selections over the next few weeks.

We have been blessed with amazing weather this year and have been able to enjoy the patio. With the current COVID protocols we will not be able to add more tables and chairs when the weather turns and more members choose to eat inside. As a result we may have to limit post round time to an hour if we have other members wanting to come in after their round. We currently have seating for 26 in the dining room and 12 in the sunroom.

Hours of Operation for the Kitchen (unless there is a reservation)
Oct. 1 - Oct. 12 Weekdays 9:00-6:30, Weekends 8:30-7:30
Oct. 13 - Nov. 1 Weekdays 10:00-6:00, Weekends 9:30-7:00

Coffee/Tea, Baked Goods, Mad Muffins and Sandwiches will be available 30 min before the first T-Time and will remain open for 30 min after the kitchen closes in the evening for after game beverages.

We are especially thankful to the following new members who put their trust in our Club during such unprecedented times.   In my opinion, the 2020 golf season was the most collectively challenging in Mad River’s history, even more so than the great fire of 2004!

Next season we look forward to hosting an event to properly welcome our new Mad River friends from the “Tee It Up in 2020” campaign.

As we all look forward to welcoming our family for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, the Club recognizes that over the years a round of golf at Mad River has become a family tradition for many of our members and their families. It is our hope that this tradition will continue, and because of this the Club is modifying its regular Covid guest policy ‘one-time’ for this celebratory family weekend.

As of now, the Thanksgiving Guest Policy is as follows:
Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday one guest per member anytime, up to three family (relatives) guests after 12 p.m.
Each guest will be required to complete the Guest Declaration Form prior to play in the event that the Club does not currently have a form already on file for your guest.
