Last week was our annual Champions Dinner, a wonderful evening that recognized the top performers across the Men’s Championship and Match Play events. It was great to have the key members of staff and the Captains join the well-deserved winners from this season.

th, it is a great time to reflect on the season and assess your performance vs. your goals. I am assuming that most of our members set goals in other aspects of life, for example career, health & wellness, to name a couple. If you are not already setting goals for your game, I highly recommend that you start if you are serious about improving.

Member Recipe Spotlight: Salted Caramel Ganache Brownies
This past week, our kitchen team tested a new dessert that’s quickly become a staff favourite — Salted Caramel Ganache Brownies. They’re rich, chocolatey, and just the right balance of sweet and salty. We’re considering adding them to our next season’s menu, but before we make it official, we’d love your feedback!

Dear Members,
As the season quickly draws to a close, we kindly ask that all house accounts be settled no later than the end of November, which also marks our fiscal year-end.

Peter Howitt - Nobel Prize Winner
About ten years ago, I had the unlikely pleasure of hosting Peter Howitt, this year’s Nobel Prize winner in Economics, for a round at Mad River. He was my guest thanks to a very Canadian chain of connections: his daughter is married to my son’s best friend, who figured I might be able to get Peter out for a round.
Pretty sure that was the first, hopefully not the last time, a Nobel laureate takes a divot out of the Mad River fairways!
