It is hard to believe that we are entering our final month of the season. It really has gone by fast, especially considering we had a late start. Speaking of late start, you have likely noticed that our first tee time of the day has been pushed back over the last few weeks. This will continue to move backwards in October as we adjust to the sun rising later in the day and the potential for frost. Here is a look at our first time of the day for the remainder of the season:

We have had some pretty good weather through the later part of August and into the first half of September. It hasn’t been, until recently that we have had an abundance of rain. In the most recent 36 hour rain event, the golf course held up very well considering the sheer volume of precipitation. Over a day and a half we received 4 inches of rain. We had a few bunkers washout and a few more where standing water remained for a couple days, after the rain finished it was evident that a few rain events this year have taken their toll on our bunkers from a contamination standpoint. Over time sand becomes contaminated with native soil, not only does this make the sand appear less “white” it affects the drainage characteristics of the bunker sand and ultimately the playability.

If you sent a payment past the 28th of September, it will show on your September balance, therefore your statement will show that it is still outstanding, when it may not be.
